This thing is amazing. I actually have not used it for camping. It's definitely a little heavier than a backpacking pad. However, my 5 year old can carry it without a problem. I use it as a mat under my kids loft bed and also to take on trips with us for him to sleep. It's way easier and lighter than an air mattress and is just as comfortable.
