If you are camping in a windy environment, especially a non-freestanding tent or trekking pole tent, the force points mainly rely on stakes, so the tent needs stronger grip, so upgrade to longer, stronger, and lighter carbon fiber stakes. Is Lanshan 1 Pro a single-wall tent?
Yes. 1 Pro uses a single-wall design, so the outer canopy also works as the main sleeping shelter. This helps reduce weight and packed size.
Does it need seam sealing?
Yes. The seams should be sealed before using the tent in rain. This step is important for reliable wet-weather performance.
How is it different from Lanshan 1?
Lighter, smaller when packed, and better suited to experienced ultralight hikers. Lanshan 1 has a separate inner tent, factory-taped seams, and is easier to use in humid conditions.
Does it have condensation?
Like all single-wall shelters, condensation can appear inside the canopy. Good ventilation, a well-drained campsite, and a tight pitch help reduce moisture buildup.
Which fabric should I choose: SilPoly or SilNylon?
SilPoly absorbs less water and usually sags less when wet. SilNylon offers a higher listed tear-resistance figure. The better choice depends on your climate, route, and priorities.
Good for long-distance hiking?
Yes, especially for experienced hikers who want a lighter solo shelter. It works well for thru-hiking, fastpacking, and multi-day trips when properly seam-sealed and pitched.
What trekking pole length is needed?
The recommended trekking pole height is about 120-125 cm for proper setup.
