If you are camping in a windy environment, especially a non-freestanding tent or trekking pole tent, the force points mainly rely on stakes, so the tent needs stronger grip, so upgrade to longer, stronger, and lighter carbon fiber stakes. Standard Version is better for beginners because it is easier to pitch, factory sealed, and handles condensation better.
3. How much lighter is Lanshan 2 Pro?
The Standard Version product page lists a weight of about 1,150 g. The Lanshan 2 Pro weighs around 865-915 g depending on the fabric version, excluding accessories. That makes the Pro version roughly 235-285 g lighter, which is useful for long-distance hiking and ultralight backpacking.
4. Do both tents need trekking poles?
Yes. Both tents require trekking poles or separate support poles for setup.
5. Which one is better for rain or humidity?
Standard Version is better for wet or humid conditions. Lanshan 2 Pro is best for dry, well-ventilated trips and must be seam sealed before rain use.
